A security update for New Relic Synthetics private minions corrects an issue where the minion may generate local log files containing sensitive data.
Release date: July 22, 2019
Vulnerability identifier: NR19-04
The following New Relic Synthetics minion versions are affected:
Containerized private minions
VM private minions (legacy)
Containerized private minions 2.2.6
New Relic Synthetics private minions create logs automatically to aid in debugging. In earlier minion versions, these logs could contain sensitive data such as secure credentials being used in Synthetics scripts. These logs are stored locally on the minion, but this information is now filtered out.
