New Relic's integrations include an integration for reporting your Microsoft Azure Storage Sync metrics and other data to New Relic. This document explains how to activate the integration and describes the data reported.
New Relic gathers metrics data from Azure Monitor for the Storage Sync service, Azure Storage Sync enables synchronization of data between on-premises Windows servers and Azure Storage. With Azure Storage Sync, you can centralize your file services in Azure and cache data on your on-premises Windows servers, making it available to other users or applications.
Using New Relic, you can:
- View Azure Storage Sync data in pre-built dashboards.
- Run custom queries and visualize the data.
- Create alert conditions to notify you of changes in data.
Follow standard Azure Monitor integration procedure to activate your Azure service in New Relic infrastructure monitoring.
You can change the polling frequency and filter data using configuration options.
New Relic queries your Azure Storage Sync services according to a default polling interval.
This integration collects the following metric data.
Metric that logs a value of 1 each time the Server Endpoint successfully completes a Sync Session with the Cloud Endpoint.
Total file size transferred for Sync Sessions.
Percentage of bytes that were served from the cache.
Percentage of all recalls that were successful.
Size of data recalled by application.
Size of data recalled.
Size of data recall throughput.
Metric that logs a value of 1 each time the resigtered server successfully records a heartbeat with the Cloud Endpoint.
Count of Files synced.
Count of files failed to sync.
Size of data cached on the server.
