We added an integration with GitHub that allows people to use their GitHub account to sign up for and log into New Relic.
We added an integration with Google that allows people to use their Google account to sign up for New Relic and log in. For more details, see this announcement.
We changed the location of some authentication domain settings. Changes include:
- We placed the Authentication domains UI in the Administration UI menu.
- We moved the user session settings and the user upgrade settings to the User management UI page.
You can now add and delete users through NerdGraph. Here are some resources to learn more:
Users with multiple New Relic user records can now switch between those records. For more information, see Users with multiple user records.
You can now query a user's name, user ID, user type, email, and last active date with our NerdGraph API. You can also update a user's user type and email address.
To learn more, see the NerdGraph docs.
Managing your users' access to New Relic just got easier. We've enhanced the Access management UI page to be more group-focused. Now you can more quickly understand what roles and accounts your groups have access to, create groups, and edit group access.
We've also simplified how you manage higher-level administrative features. We previously had separate organization-scoped roles for these capabilities. Now, organization-level administrative settings (like billing, organization settings, and authentication domain settings) can be easily assigned to a group from the Groups UI page.
To learn more:
- See the Access management UI page
- Read how to assign group access
- Read about the administration settings
We released NerdGraph capabilities for managing user groups and access grants. For more details, see Manage user access with NerdGraph.
Removal of estimated cost in May of 2022
In May of 2022, we removed the current month's estimated cost from the usage UI and from usage-related events. We did this to avoid confusion in cases where the estimated cost differs from the actual cost. Details on this change:
- Removal of estimated cost from the usage UI. The usage UI shows your usage and show invoices, as always, but there won't be an estimated cost for the current month.
- Removal of
estimatedCost
attribute. This attribute is being removed from the eventsNrMTDConsumption
andNrConsumption
.
For tips on how to run queries to return an estimated cost, or on how to replace existing queries that use estimatedCost
, see Estimated cost queries.
Note that viewing and editing billing settings requires the Billing user role.
This release provides NerdGraph API capabilities for querying, adding, and renaming accounts.
