Python agent v14.1.0

Notes

This release of the Python agent adds instrumentation for OpenAI Responses, and the new hsetex command in Valkey.

Install the agent using easy_install/pip/distribute via the Python Package Index, using conda via the Conda-Forge Package Index, or download it directly from the New Relic download site.

New features

• New instrumentation for OpenAI Responses

  • Instrumentation was added for the openai SDK's client.responses methods, which target the Responses API.
  • This is an addition to the existing instrumentation of the older client.chat.completions methods and Chat Completions API, which are still supported.

Enhanced features

• Added support for new Valkey command:

  • The hsetex command is now supported.

Support statement
