Synthetics default events for Insights

Synthetics enables you to monitor and test your apps so you can address issues before they can affect your end users.

New Relic Synthetics automatically populates your Insights account with data. Use these default attributes to explore monitor runs and HTTP requests in depth.

Use the New Relic event data dictionary to view the attributes for the default Synthetics events by selecting an event name:

Event Description

SyntheticCheck returns metrics from one run of a specific monitor. These metrics include duration information for the monitor, location of the monitor check, size of the request and response headers, the type of monitor, and a timestamp.

SyntheticRequest returns results from individual HTTP requests made during a check. The data gathered include job information, location, type of content for request, duration information, request size, and page load information.

SyntheticPrivateLocationStatus With each monitor check running on a private location triggers capacity details for the private location to be captured in the SyntheticPrivateLocationStatus event type. This provides visibility into the capacity of a private location and whether additional minions are required to support the workload.

If you have private locations, such as those inside your firewall, you can view information regarding those locations with the SyntheticsPrivateMinion event.
