Cross account destinations overview

Cross account destinations allow you to create notification destinations at the organization level that can be used across all accounts within your organization. This eliminates the need to recreate the same destinations in multiple accounts and provides centralized management for your notification infrastructure.

Key concepts

Organization vs Account scope

Cross account destinations introduces a new scope concept:

• Organization scope: Destinations created at the organization level, accessible to all accounts within the organization.
• Account scope: Traditional account-level destinations are only accessible within the specific account.

Required permissions

To manage cross account destinations, you need:

• Org Manager role: Create, update, and delete cross account destinations
• Standard user roles: Read-only access to view and use cross account destinations in workflows
