Changelog

We’re issuing a breaking release to mark the removal of jmxreceiver from the component manifests of both nrdot-collector and nrdot-collector-experimental following its removal from opentelemetry-collector-contrib in 0.157.0 (see issue 45740 for reference). The component was exclusively used by the Kafka Monitoring use case which has been adapted to no longer rely on this receiver. If you deploy nrdot-collector with a custom configuration using jmxreceiver, please migrate following the guidance of the deprecation notice of the receiver.

• Disabled system.cpu.logical.count in host config. (#647)
  • The v0.157.0 update to receiver/host_metrics enabled this metric by default. This change restores the previous behavior.
• Removed system.cpu.utilization mean aggregation rule from host config. (#646)
  • The v0.157.0 update to receiver/host_metrics changed its default behavior to aggregate system.cpu.utilization by mean, rendering the removed rule redundant.
