The video agent for iOS gives you a comprehensive view of your video playback performance. The agent monitors iOS apps written in Objective-C, Swift, or both.
Prerequisites
Before you install the Streaming Video & Ads agent for iOS, ensure you have:
- A New Relic account ID
- Reviewed the iOS mobile app compatibility requirements
- Reviewed the Streaming Video & Ads agent compatibility requirements
You can install the Streaming Video & Ads agent using one of two methods:
- CocoaPods: Automatically install using the CocoaPods dependency manager
- Manual installation: Manually build and include the framework files in your project
Install the agent
Access New Relic
Go to one.newrelic.com > Integrations & Agents.
Select Streaming Video & Ads
Search and select the Streaming Video & Ads tile.
Name your application
Give a name for your application and click Create.
Once the application name is created, click Save and Continue.
Select Mobile platform
Select Mobile and click Continue.
Select iOS
Select iOS to monitor video players in your applications and click Continue.
Choose your installation method
Select the installation method that applies to your application:
Alternative: Guided install
Skip the manual steps above and use the guided installer. Click Guided install below. Or, if your organization is located in an EU data center, click EU Guided install.
