Specify data for a chart

Use the New Relic One chart builder to specify the data that you want to include in your chart. You can use either the basic or advanced (NRQL) mode to specify data for your chart.

Basic mode is a good choice if you don't know how to use the New Relic Query Language (NRQL) or are new to specifying data. Advanced (NRQL) mode lets you create more complex queries.

To use the chart builder:

  1. Go to one.newrelic.com .
  2. Click the chart builder icon-chart-builder.png icon.
  3. If needed, click either the basic or advanced (NRQL) icon in the upper-right corner to select the mode you want to use.

If you are using the chart builder for the first time, you will see basic mode. If you have previously used the chart builder, you will see the mode you last used.

Example use case
