Unsubscribe from New Relic emails

New Relic sends two types of emails:

  • Marketing emails related to new features, special offers, etc.
  • Product emails related to alerts, updates, billing, etc.

You must opt in or out of these emails separately for each of your New Relic accounts.

Unsubscribe from marketing emails

Marketing emails from New Relic include an unsubscribe link. The link directs you to a page where you can confirm the email address and stop these types of messages.

Even though you unsubscribe from the marketing email, other product email subscriptions (weekly summary reports, alerts, etc.) will continue. To unsubscribe from all emails from New Relic, you must opt out of them individually for each of your accounts.

Unsubscribe from New Relic product emails

The product email may include a link to go directly to User preferences in the New Relic user interface.

To unsubscribe from New Relic product emails:

  1. From the account dropdown in the New Relic UI, select User preferences.
  2. From the Email preferences section, clear the checkbox options for News and announcements from New Relic.
  3. From the Emails per account section, clear the checkbox options for weekly summary emails (and billing invoices if applicable).
  4. From the Mobile section, clear the checkbox options for Crash reporting and Version trends, and select OFF for individual apps.
  5. Select Save email preferences.

Users cannot unsubscribe from alert email notifications. The account Owner or Admin must remove users from the policy's notification channel.

Multiple accounts

If you have more than one New Relic account, you must opt in or out of email subscriptions individually for each account. To unsubscribe from your other New Relic accounts (if applicable):

  1. From the account dropdown in the New Relic UI, select User preferences.
  2. From the Emails per account section, select another account.
  3. Repeat the product opt-out procedures to unsubscribe from the currently selected account.

Product subscriptions

Depending on your User preferences settings, you may have set up subscriptions for any of these New Relic emails for one or more accounts:

  • Marketing emails (news and announcements about products, features, special offers, etc.)
  • Weekly summary reports
  • Weekly sample reports
  • Alert notifications for web or mobile apps, hosts, key transactions, etc. (account email)
  • Downtime alert emails
  • Application or host alerts (external email)
  • Invoice or other billing emails

If you want to unsubscribe from all New Relic emails, be sure to opt out of each of these settings for all of your New Relic accounts.
